Straight from the source
Here's the differentiator: NASA publishes its own 3D models, drawn directly from its missions, and the great majority are in the public domain as works of the U.S. federal government. A model of the Curiosity rover or the Cassini probe from NASA is accurate because it came from the people who built the real spacecraft. Most 3D-print search tools don't index a single NASA model. Spacecraft models are often intricate, with antennas, solar panels and trusses that mean supports and careful orientation. Many are designed to print in parts and assemble.
