For creators

Attribution & takedowns

Meshhound only works if creators are treated fairly. Here's how we credit your work, how to fix a listing that's wrong, and how to have your models removed from our index entirely.

The short version: we don't host your files, we link to your original page, and if you'd rather not be indexed at all, email hello@meshhound.com and we'll remove you. No account or legal filing required.

Attribution policy

Every model in Meshhound belongs to the person who made it. We are an index and a search layer on top of the sites where those models already live, nothing more. Our attribution commitments are simple:

If you believe your work is being credited incorrectly (wrong creator name, wrong licence, a thumbnail you'd like removed), tell us and we'll correct it quickly (see below).

Report a listing

Found a result that's broken, mislabelled, spammy, or pointing somewhere it shouldn't? Reporting it helps everyone who searches after you. Useful things to include:

Send reports to hello@meshhound.com with the subject line "Report a listing". We read every one.

Remove my model

If you're a creator (or you represent one) and you don't want your work appearing in Meshhound's index, we'll remove it. Because we don't host anything, "removal" means we drop the listing from our search index and stop linking to it. The model stays exactly where it is on the original site.

How to request removal

Email hello@meshhound.com with the subject "Takedown request" and include:

  • A link to the model (on the source site) or to its Meshhound result.
  • Confirmation that you're the creator or are authorised to act for them.
  • Whether you want a single model removed or all of your listings excluded going forward.

We aim to action removal requests within a few business days, and we can add your source page or profile to a permanent exclusion list so it isn't re-indexed later.

If you're reporting content that infringes your copyright rather than your own work, include enough detail to identify the material and your relationship to it, and we'll handle it the same way, by removing the listing from our index and, where appropriate, passing the report to the host site.
