Detail and materials
Fine jewelry lives and dies on detail, so most of it is printed on a resin printer that can hold crisp edges and small features a filament printer would round off. Cosplay pieces are the opposite: they're often big, so they're printed in sections on an FDM machine, then glued, filled and painted. Skin-contact wearables should use a material rated safe for that use, which the designer or filament maker will specify.
Public-domain bonus. Museum open-access archives include scanned historical jewelry and ornament you can print and adapt freely. Those pieces rarely show up in ordinary model searches, but Meshhound indexes them, so a fashion search here can surface a genuine museum artifact alongside maker designs.
From printed model to cast metal
A lot of jewelry designers don't print the final piece at all: they print a castable resin master and use it for lost-wax casting into silver or gold. If you're aiming for metal rather than plastic, look for files noted as castable and check the designer's guidance, since sprue placement and burnout matter as much as the model itself.
